Trial of Hamlet

Trial of Hamlet

In this unique criminal trial, the Prince of Denmark is accused of murdering the king’s attendant, Polonius. Hamlet is pleading insanity — but is he truly insane? Returning to the Shakespeare Theatre Company for the first time in over a decade, the Trial will be argued by defense attorney Abbe David Lowell, with U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, Jessie K. Liu, serving as the prosecution. The Trial’s original creator, Justice Anthony Kennedy of the Supreme Court of the United States, will serve as the judge. It will also feature two expert witnesses and a jury of special guests, tasked with announcing the verdict.

Please note that there is currently a waitlist for VIP and Trial-Only tickets. To be added to the list, please call the Box Office at 202-547-1122, Option 1.
