Join us before the show for a passeggiata through The Taming of the Shrew’s center of love, art and commerce. Designed to look like the open-air markets of Padua and curated to appeal to savvy, contemporary shoppers, the Piazza d’Amore will take over the Harman lobbies to exhibit and sell handmade goods, packaged foodstuff, fine clothing and gift items. After all, what’s Italy without some great shopping?
Like any city square, our piazza will also play host to conversation, musicians and artists, and food and wine, with special events to explore throughout the run. Sample some of Penn Quarter’s favorite dishes, enjoy live performances and sip cocktails, and engage in show-related discussions with the cast and artistic team. See the full schedule of events below or discover art, craft and skill workshops at Padua Finishing School.
Admission to the Piazza d’Amore will be FREE and open to the public.
