Registration Information

Registration can be completed online or by calling the Education Hotline at 202.547.5688.

To register online, click the "Register" button by the class or workshop you are interested in.

You will receive a confirmation email after registering. Please double check to make sure your contact information and classes are correct. Additional information about class locations and any necessary preparation will be sent via email approximately one week before class begins.

Online registration will close a week prior to the first scheduled class session.


Full tuition is due upon registration. If you are no longer able to attend the class as scheduled, please submit a written request to 50% will be refunded if registration is withdrawn until one week prior to the first scheduled class session. Starting a week prior to the first scheduled class session, TUITION IS NON-REFUNDABLE.


If minimum enrollment is not met, STC Education Department will cancel a class one week before the first scheduled class session. If this occurs, we will issue either a full refund or a credit toward another class.

STC rarely cancels events due to inclement weather. If you are unable to attend a class for any weather-related reason, no refunds or exchanges will be provided. If STC cancels a class session for any reason, including inclement weather, we will email you. We will make every best effort to reschedule the class at a time convenient for the instructor and the majority of the students, but tuition is non-refundable.


Scholarships based on financial need are available for most Master Acting Classes. If you would like to apply for a scholarship please submit the following:

  • A completed scholarship application form no later than one week before a class is scheduled to begin.
  • A one page essay (12 point font, double spaced) explaining why you would like to train in one of our Master Acting Classes.
  • A copy of applicant’s most recent tax return or other current proof of income.

 Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.

STC Education is happy to offer the following discounts on class tuition. Discounts apply only to traditional, multi-week classes. Discounts are not available for one-day intensives or professional development workshops. Multiple discounts may not be combined; only one discount may be applied per registration.

Actors' Cente
r: 15% off tuition. Actor’s Center membership number required.

Actors' Equity: 15% off tuition. Actor’s Equity number required.

Classroom Teachers
: 20% off tuition. School information required.

College Students
: 15% off tuition. School information required.

Early Registration:
$25 off tuition.  This discount ends a few weeks before the beginning of the session.   Please see the individual session pages for precise dates.

Multiple Class Discount:
15% off tuition if you register for two classes at the same time. Commit to three classes at the same time for a savings of more than 20% off tuition.

STC Volunteer
: 10% off tuition. Names will be checked against list of active volunteers.
