Two-week performance intensives June 27–August 20
During these performance intensives, young actors dive head first into the world of the greatest playwright in history: William Shakespeare. Under the guidance of theatre professionals, participants unravel his plays with text analysis; transform into Shakespeare’s characters through voice, movement and improvisation work; wage battles against mortal enemies with stage combat; and develop fundamental acting skills using classical theatre techniques. To culminate each session, participants stage a performance for friends and family at the Shakespeare Theatre Company.
If you can act Shakespeare, you can act anything.

Three-Week Advanced Camp
June 27–July 16
All's Well That Ends Well
July 18–August 6
Advanced Camp invites returning participants ages 13-18 to experience an actor’s journey from audition to performance. Participants will delve deeper into the text through advanced classroom work and will rehearse as an ensemble to produce a fully-realized Shakespeare production for three performances in the Forum at Sidney Harman Hall. Both Advanced Camps are for ages 13-18 (grades 7-12) by audition only. Students may audition for one or both productions.
